This tablet-only App will help parents learn together with their child about key online safety issues. Parents and their children will use a split screen on the tablet, and start by selecting one of the nine categories they‘d like to learn more about (chatting, cyberbullying, privacy & theft, downloading, making friends, adult content, gaming, sharing and competitions & adverts). Each category contains a series of questions which offer either multiple choice or true or false answers. If at any point parents don’t understand a question or would like to read more about the subject, they can select ‘more info’ to bring up a summary of information on the topic. As parents and their child play together, they will earn points. These points will go towards their high score at the end. Most points are earned by correctly answering the questions in each category, but you can also gain bonus points through the game at the end of each question round. If people would like to improve their high score, they can go back to re-do a category at any time. The categories can be completed in any order. Once in play mode, parents can pause the app at any time to have a more in depth discussion with their child, or read more about the topic themselves.
The application is compatible for iPad 3 and above (Retina) devices only.
